Mark Foley serves as Secretary of the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ Board of Trustees. As the System’s corporate secretary and an officer of the Board, Mark is responsible for coordinating all Board and Committee meetings and maintaining records and minutes of all Board actions. Mark also acts as a liaison between the Board and the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ and manages strategic initiatives across the enterprise.
Prior to joining the UA System Office, Mark was a litigation associate at Maynard Cooper & Gale, P.C. and was recognized as a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He litigated cases in fourteen different states and territories and often represented governmental entities and actors, including several high-ranking executive officials. Mark graduated with honors from the University of Alabama, where he served in leadership roles in numerous campus organizations and received a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Chemistry. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he received the Chris Lantz Outstanding Memorial Service Award and was elected to the Order of the Coif, an honor society comprised of the top 10% of the graduating class.
